I am constantly asked “how did you start photography.” And all I can really say is that almost every memory I have from my childhood is documented because my parents always had a camera. And like every kid, I hated how my mom always wanted to take a photo of EVERYTHING. But I am sure glad she did. I have photos from every significant event in my early years. I always remember my dad having his old film camera in hand on every adventure we went on. So I decided to start bringing a camera everywhere as well. And here I am.

For many years, I have lugged a camera around many of the beautiful places of this world. There was nothing better than to travel and hike to remote locations to find peace, and always bringing back photos with a story to tell. I felt that I should put that passion to work, and capture important moments in the lives of others.

The saying “a picture tells a thousand words” is absolutely true to me. A photo is much stronger than our memory and to have beautiful, one-of-a-kind photos of our life’s biggest moments is very important in passing on our legacy and telling our story.

My goal is to capture your moment as uniquely and creatively as I can. And when working with great personalities and creative venues, it is a perfect combination for long-lasting, beautiful images.

Together, my wife Alise, our little girl and baby boy and I enjoy traveling, hiking, riding bikes, skiing, sitting by the fire, road trips and great food. We recently moved to back to Puyallup, where we both grew up. We spend the majority of our time in the PNW on assignment and for holiday. I enjoy shooting anything around Washington, but I LOVE to travel, and will go anywhere.

MY IDEAL CLIENT:

Laughs a ton. Hikes in the rain. Probably owns an iPhone. Travels… A LOT. Is willing to get their wedding shoes filthy for a good photo. Isn’t super high-maintence.  Has some rad photo ideas of their own. Hates cheesy pinterest photos. Wants to be lifelong friends with their photographer…
