Evan + Kate’s wedding was straight up perfection. The weather. The venue. The people. The food. The light-sabers.

This was the type of wedding where I simply didn’t want the day to end. There was so much fun being had that it just couldn’t end. But it did, so here are some images.

Got to check a long-awaited goal off the wedding list; shoot a mountain-top wedding. Beings that I love the outdoors and spending my spare time in the mountains, I could NOT turn the opportunity down to shoot this wedding with Jonas Seaman up at Mt. Baker.

Their magician friend from Vegas surprised them in registering as an officiant for their wedding, and threw in a ridiculously stunning magic trick mid-ceremony.

Oh and the Australian Shepard flower girls; melt my heart. Of course, it made my Aussie Rusty a bit jealous.

If you would have told me that my third full-time year was going to be this much fun/ awesome/ challenging/ radical, I probably would have given you a full-on wedgie. There is no way I could have imagined ever having a year like this. And I am so truly grateful. I have gotten to be a part of some really incredible weddings, memories, stories…

- The father of the groom slash best-man shedding tears while blessing his son during his toast

- The groomsman that passed out TWICE during the ceremony

- The bride driving her groom around on a boat in the San Juan Islands while the groom planks the steering wheel

- The groomsmen who split their heads open while shredding the dance-floor

- The groom screaming like a little girl after kissing his bride for the first time

- The bride and groom that turned their European destination wedding into a BIG Pike’s Place surprise wedding for their friends and family

- The Molly Moon ice cream truck

- All the trespassing that happened

- The groom kicking a 40 yard field at Cowboys stadium

- The photo-booth turned epic-night-time-light-saber-battle-between-M.O.B.-and-best-man

- The groom with the 12 inch Rambo machete knife

- Groomsmen arriving to the ceremony via my father-in-law’s boat

- The groom with a loaded 9mm

- The Texas Longhorn bulls that paid a visit to the Arlington, TX wedding

I give all the credit and glory to God because without Him, there would be no purpose. But there IS so much purpose.

I am thankful for my wife who trusts me to have loads of fun, take rad photos and provide for our family all at the same time.

I couldn’t possibly turn down the opportunity to shoot a wedding at the ACE, in Palm Springs, alongside The Dude, JAMES MOES.

It was a fantastic wedding to be a part of, the style was perfectly fit for the venue, and I am grateful James asked me to second shoot for him. His blog post is HERE.

RAINIER 20 Twelve – Documentary + Journal

We are pumped to release our 19 minute documentary and 80 page Journal from this summer’s summit bid of Mt. Rainier. Our goal was to raise money for the families of fallen park rangers Margaret Anderson and Nick Hall.

January 1, 2012: A gunman drove into Mount Rainier National Park and murdered an on-duty law enforcement ranger. Margaret Anderson leaves behind a husband and 2 young children.

June 21st, 2012: Climbing Ranger Nick Hall accidentally fell to his death while performing an on-mountain rescue of 4 injured climbers near the summit of Mount Rainier.

August 13, 2012: A group of 5 entrepreneurs, creatives and adventure-enthusiasts set out to summit Mount Rainier to raise funds for Margaret’s husband and two children, and for Nick Hall’s family. For 4 of the climbers, Ryan, Paul, Bradley and Jeff, this was their “first ascent”.

Michael Rowley, Founder of 14,4 Foundation, has built his foundation on a passion for helping those whom have been injured in the outdoors, or families who have lost loved ones to the outdoors. This climb marks the first fundraising effort by 14,4 Foundation to help a family who lost a loved one in the line-of-duty.

I went to NYC on the way to Sam + Eunice’ beautiful countryside wedding in Virginia.

I snapped a few personal frames.

My brother spent hundreds on cab fares. But it was worth every penny. Our cabbies were ridiculous.

How could I say ‘no’ to shooting a Virginia wedding? Being a history major, I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to shoot in such a historic part of the country. It was also rad that Sam + Eunice are awesome. And, the photographer was my good friend Andria. andrialindquistblog.com

Although it was 95 degrees and 98% humidity, the day was simply perfect. The venue was set on an incredible piece of land in northern Virginia, not far from DC. The bride and groom both attended U of V, so the whole college crew showed up. Even their chocolate lab was sporting a U of V bow tie.

It was perfect.
