I strongly believe there was more than 1 million people. It felt like a Billy Graham crusade. But for football.
It took some serious patience, planning, and energy, but it was worth every moment.
I took the 8:12a train out of Puyallup, and the train was so full, we didnt pick up another passenger on the trip to Seattle. More than 700 people in Puyallup didnt get on the train.
When I arrived in Seattle, I walked north from the stadium. I ended up at the Space Needle. I was so enamored with the crowd that I just kept walking and looking. I walked the entire route of the parade, and then walked back. By the time I got back down to the stadium, the parade route had collapsed with all the crowds.
I was so impressed with how the City of Seattle responded in planning such an incredible event in 3 short days. Hats off to everyone that made it possible.
Here is just a glimpse of the madness that was the Seahawks Superbowl Championship Parade.
