Today was a really cool day. And I am grateful for another opportunity to be a part of the Seahawks.
It has been 30 years since the Seahawks first made a playoff appearance, going on a miracle run and making it all the way to the AFC Championship game. At halftime, they brought back 40 former players to honor. Including several of my heros, like Steve Largent, Jim Zorn and Jacob Green.
I showed up early to do a showcase on two of the major tailgating setups. One of which was Hawk One, a moving museum of Seahawks history. And as we were there, Jom Zorn and Steve Largent showed up to pay tribute and to sign their photos hanging on the RV-turned-museum walls.
As for the game, it was a weird one. I don’t think anyone figured the 0-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers would make a game with the Seahawks, but they did. Without even blinking, the Hawks were down 21-0, having turned the ball over 3 times. The famous Tim Tebow jumpass was resurrected by the Buccaneers running back to put the final stamp on the 21-0 lead.
But have no fear, we have Russell Wilson as our quarterback. And he did what he does best; stand poised with a big deficit and a mission to accomplish.
The Seahawks set a franchise record for largest comeback, but couldn’t have done it without the help of the 12th Man.
My goal was simply to capture the game experience from a bit of a different angle. Here is my take…
